Concrete Scanning with GPR
A Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) system is used for non-destructive concrete scanning.
TRANSMIT
The transmitter sends a radio wave into the ground while the receiver listens for returning reflections.
REFLECT
Reflections occur when the radio wave hits a material (metal, for example) that is different from the host material (soil, for example). Some of the waves are reflected back and some travel deeper into the subsurface.
DETECT
The GPR receiver detects and measures this reflected wave. When objects are not detected, it is because not enough radar wave energy was returned to the receiver.
Conquest® Concrete scanner
Conquest® 100 is an integrated ground penetrating radar (GPR) system used for locating objects in concrete prior to cutting and coring. It’s critical that all objects are properly marked out to prevent damage and more importantly, personal injury.
