GPR-SG: high-accuracy, plug-and-play GNSS solution for Sensors & Software GPR systems

Accurate positioning is critical for GPR surveys, and it can be used to accurately map buried assets, determine the location of detected subsurface objects, identify areas to avoid digging and record locations.

Sensors & Software’s GPR-SG accessory bundles provide an out of the box solution to integrate high-accuracy GNSS positioning into your GPR data. Every GPR-SG package includes a pre-configured Juniper Geode with connectivity, setup, and battery management all taken care of at the system level, making it easy to incorporate precise positioning into your GPR workflow.

GPR-SG Features
  • GPR-SG packages come pre-programmed to automatically communicate with Sensors & Software’s DVLs (Digital Video Loggers). It is only necessary for the user to switch the GNSS positioning to “External” on the DVL (see link to Quick Start Guide below)
  • GNSS positions are recorded on the DVL at 10 Hz (10 times a second) to ensure that, no matter how fast you are collecting the GPR data, there is an accurate GNSS position saved with each GPR trace collected.
  • The GPR system battery powers the entire system including the Geode, making battery management simple, as you do not need to keep multiple batteries charged.
  • The Geode fits on all Sensors & Software GNSS mounting posts, so it can be added to any Sensors & Software GPR system.
