17th International Conference on Ground Penetrating Radar, June 18-21, 2018, Rapperswil, Switzerland

This Conference is a longstanding traditional event that brings together scientists, engineers, industrial delegates, manufacturers, software engineers, and end-users working in all GPR areas, ranging from fundamental electromagnetics, antenna design, algorithm development to applications of all kinds.

GPR 2018

Stop by booth #5 and meet Dr. Peter Annan, founder and CEO of Sensors & Software Inc. and Dr. Nectaria Diamanti to learn about the new advancements of the Noggin and pulseEKKO GPR products.

On June 17th at 1:10 pm, Dr. Peter Annan, will run a pre-conference workshop entitled “GPR – The Basics” covering the following topics:

• Review of the basic GPR concepts
• Mathematical formulism of the physical concepts
• Electromagnetic wave propagation in lossy media
• Instrumentation and data acquisition
• Survey methodology
• Essential data processing steps

June 18th at 9:30 am, Dr. Peter Annan, Sensors & Software’s founder and CEO, will give the keynote address entitled “GPR Unmentionables”

June 20th at 8:40 am and  June 21st at 3:00 pm Dr. Peter Annan will present a paper entitled “Characterizing GPR Time Domain Stacking Receivers”

June 21st at 12:50 pm, Dr. Nectaria Diamanti, Sensors & Software’s R&D Applications Scientist, will be the Chair of “A GPR based sensor to measure asphalt pavement density”

We will be having a Field Demonstration on Wednesday June 20th at 3:40 pm.

Peter Annan

Dr. Peter Annan

One of the founders of Sensors & Software, Peter Annan pioneered the development of ground-penetrating radar (GPR) methods, instruments, and digital airborne electromagnetic (AEM) instrumentation.

Peter’s scientific research is recognized worldwide with numerous awards for his pioneering work in GPR. He has authored numerous scientific publications, patents, and technical reports and served on numerous government and professional committees.

Nectaria Diamanti

Dr. Nectaria Diamanti

Ria works in the area of ground penetrating radar (GPR) R&D and applications. Her main research activity involves the development of GPR technologies and their application to geophysical/engineering problems ranging from environmental monitoring to non-destructive testing and archaeological prospection. Her areas of research include: numerical modelling using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) technique, application of numerical modelling to GPR.
